Our History

We at Patmos have been gathering and praying
longer than we can remember for the hand of God
to touch India.

Our desire is to reach the people of the
world who had never heard the name of
Jesus. This is the basic plan that God has
given to us.

From Reverend Shibu Joseph

Blessings, I am Shibu Joseph the President & founder of Patmos International Ministries. I have been called by God to fulfill a vision of reaching the people of India who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I was born in Kerala, India and was raised as a nominal Christian, which is a Christian in name only.

We didn’t attend regular services other than occasional services, weddings and funerals. I was blessed with an excellent education, and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering & Science.

I was happy with my life, until the day a Californian Evangelist touched my heart during and outdoor open tent meeting, I was drawn to the music and decided to sit down awhile and enjoy myself. That preacher kept speaking to me and before he was through, I received the Holy Spirit. This Evangelist gave me a prophecy that “God is going to use me in the nation of India especially with the tribal villages”.   My life radically changed from that day forward.  I developed a desire to tell others about the revelation and share the joy of this incredible relationship with this powerful God.

Patmos International Ministries was officially started in the year 2000 in the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East. Our desire is to reach the people of the world who had never heard the name of Jesus. I became an ordained minister through Christ for the Nations School of Ministry in 2002.  Ordained with Bachelors Degree in Theology from Oklahoma.

God has blessed us with the ability to reach the lost souls through organized mission trips, building churches, bible schools, orphanages and even a tailoring centers in 7 of the states of  India.  We plan to bring the word of God, the power of His love, the strength of His miracles, and the compassion of His endurance to a starving world.
